Anyone and everyone! Whether you’re an experienced brewer, a craft beer enthusiast, or someone curious about homebrewing, there’s a place for you in the Chicken City Ale Raisers (CCAR). No experience? No problem! We’re all about learning, sharing, and having fun.
Joining CCAR is easy! Here’s how:
Attend a Meeting: Come to one of our monthly gatherings and get a feel for what we’re all about.
Pay Dues: Once you're hooked, annual dues are just $35. This helps cover event costs and keeps the club running smoothly.
Get Connected: Email our Info Head at ccarhomebrew@gmail.com to join our email listserv or Whatsapp text thread to stay in the loop on events, updates, and shenanigans.
Being a Raiser means you’re part of a vibrant community of beer enthusiasts and homebrewers. Here’s what you’ll get:
Access to monthly meetings with homebrew tastings and feedback.
Opportunities to participate in Brew Duels, brewing events, and competitions.
Learning from professional brewers, BJCP-certified judges, and other experts in the field.
Collaboration with local breweries and exclusive club-wide brew days.
A lively WhatsApp thread for discussions, tips, and, let’s be honest, beer memes.
While there are no hard requirements, here’s how you can contribute:
Bring Beer: Share a homebrew or commercial favorite at monthly meetings.
Host a Meeting: If you’re able, host a meeting at your home or provide food at a brewery location. Hosts are decided during the January meeting.
Stay Engaged: Participate in our WhatsApp thread—it’s where most of the club’s communication and fun happens.
CCAR is a team effort, and there’s always room for members to get involved! We currently have the following roles:
Hop Head (President): Clay Beck (2024)
Half Hop Head (Vice President): Bart Mink (2024)
Treasurer: Rick Fulgham
Info Head (Communications): Adam Fiddler
Social media coordinator: Rhett Mitcham
Got ideas for improving or expanding the club? We’re all ears! Step up and help us make CCAR even better.
Our club thrives on communication and collaboration. Here’s how to stay in the loop:
Don’t wait—come brew with us! Join us at our next meeting and reach out to Adam at adamkfiddler@gmail.com to get started. We can’t wait to meet you and share a pint!
Chicken City Ale Raisers is more than a club—it’s a community of people who love beer and brewing as much as you do. Whether you’re here to learn, share, compete, or just have a great time, we’re ready to welcome you with open wings (and a cold beer).
